Cooper came to me for training last fall. His owner wanted him to become accomplished at pointing, retrieving and staying steady. I worked with Cooper for 4 weeks and at the end of it all, he was performing just as his owner desired. Pictured here is Cooper, proud of his hunt.
"Hey Trever, I just wanted to give you an update on Chief (Bullet x Rose pup). So far I have been very impressed with him and he is a great addition to my kennel. First of all he is an absolutely stunning looking dog. I get compliments all the time on how good looking he is. Complete strangers have pulled over and asked me where I got such a good looking shorthair while walking him around town. Chief has had a very good natural retrieve from the day I brought him home. He loves the water and jumps right in to retrieve his dummy. With the right training I’m sure he would make a fine waterfowl dog. In the upland everything comes so natural to Chief. He has a great point, usually locking up at first scent a good distance from the bird. Chief has backed my older female on point since the first time I put them on birds together. I’ve have been around hunting dogs my whole life. Chief has one of the best noses I’ve seen in any breed of dog and he knows how to use it. Thank you for producing such a great animal!"
